Depends on what you like: There are a few Dublin restaurants where I have been and eaten not what you would call traditional Irish food :

Sixty 6

Odessa

Nicos

Frank's

Ely Wine Bar

Chameleon

Aya

Anti Venezia

Aqua

Two good bars are

Anglers Rest fantastic views

Slattery's good for the crack (not the drug)

Hope this help Dublin has a great night life and loads of places to eat have a great time and just enjoy being in a very friendly city.

There is so much good food in Dublin. If you want some ideas, check out the Valuemenu site. It tells you where you can get lunch specials or early bird menus.

There's something for every taste in Dublin.

Myself, I would recommend Jaipur off George's Street for excellent Indian food. Cafe Topolis in Parliament street for yummy Italian food, and Eden in Temple Bar for fabulous Irish food.

Food??? How about drink?? Ireland is the home of Guinness Beer. No trip to Ireland should take place without at least trying Guinness. No matter that you may have tasted Guinness previously in the USA or elsewhere. There's nothing like Guinness in it's natural state......at a pub in Ireland. Make sure the barkeep puts the little shamrock in the foam on top. That the crowning glory!

Odessa on Drury St is great and has lots of cocktails too. Also good are Trocadero, Salamanca and Siam Thai on Andrews St. For traditional Irish food there is a restaurant in Temple Bar which is supposed to be very good.

Try Eliza Blues in Temple Bar on one of the Quays. Great food, friendly and efficient service.

Or try the Boxty House, again in Temple Bar. Great atmosphere, good old Irish cooking. Wash down with a pint of Guinness.
